WHAT'S ON OFFER? Anger is an energy – our vital life force. If this energy is wasted on suppressing our anger, or in dealing with the fallout following a failed attempt to express ourselves and be heard, we feel drained. Through understanding and making friends with our anger, this energy is then released to be channelled into constructively moving forward, we feel more alive and motivated to reach our true potential. That’s the theory so how do we get there? INTRODUCTORY WEEKEND WORKSHOPS - SATURDAY & SUNDAY - £85r-a-g-e Weekend WorkshopsThese are interactive, experiential workshops that focus on getting in touch with our anger and learning skills in both anger release and effective communication. The weekend includes:
The most important ingredient is the safe, supportive, containing space that we will build together in which we can begin to trust each other, give ourselves permission to take risks and discover deeper layers of ourselves together. There are a maximum of 8 participants to allow time for everyone to receive some individual attention. This can be a challenging workshop as each of us takes an honest look at our way of being in the world and we dive more deeply into our process of self discovery together and take a leap into the unknown. Whether you feel that the way you express your anger is too much, not enough or you are just curious to learn more and discover all the treasures hidden within your anger you will be most welcome. r-a-g-e Weekend Workshops are held on Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-5pm in Notting Hill, W London on the following dates:
Empowerment Skills for Women Weekend Workshops The key to empowerment is accepting and valuing ourselves and others just as we are so that setbacks are not seen as a sign of inadequacy but opportunities to develop and grow. This weekend is all about tapping into our inner resources, identifying our unique qualities and celebrating the strengths we already possess. We will explore together the many factors which influence our sense of our power in the world and share our individual experiences as women We will learn how to gain control over negative thoughts such as comparing ourselves with others and self criticism and explore alternative ways of perceiving and interpreting our world which in turn can increase our confidence, resilience and optimism when facing challenges. Communication is a skill that can be learned like any other and we will look at all the obstacles we encounter when attempting to express ourselves as we would like. We will practice our communication skills together using real life conflicts, giving and receiving feedback and experimenting with using clear and direct language that does not harm others. INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS Sometimes all that is needed is some time and space to talk about our experiences one to one. Meeting with a therapist can be helpful in addressing many issues and can be particularly effective with anger which on occasions can be so overwhelming that we are left with a feeling of powerlessness. In our meeting we can work together on finding a more objective perspective and begin to understand what might be going on. In every situation there are a variety of choices we can make and by gaining some clarity about what we want and how we might begin to get our needs met, we can return to a place of confidence and balance where our anger is no longer an unruly force that can take us over and instead becomes a resource to inform and guide us.
DROP-IN EVENINGS - MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUP - £10 per sessionThe evening sessions are somewhere to come to for support, to reconnect with others, to continue working on the things that are important to you and remind yourself of the progress you are making with the skills you are putting into practice in your life. This group is open to everyone who has attended a r-a-g-e workshop or individual session and you can come along as often as you like. Drop in Evenings are held on Tuesdays from 8pm - 10pm in Greenwich on the following dates:
